Shanghai is the largest city by population of the Peaople’s Republic of China with its acutal over 23 million inhabitants. It is a global city, with influence in commerce, culture, finance, media, fashion, technology, and transport. It is a major financial center and the busiest container port in the world. Shanghai consists of 16 disticts. Because of its global interessts the city is the commercial and financial center of China.
